  2. It’s worth noting that York Mills is the only station built UNDER a river, unless you count that creek just before Kennedy (but it’s peanuts by comparison).

  3. The escalators at the future 407 Transitway Station on the Spadina Extension will potentially be even longer, considering that the station will be the deepest in the system at 23 metres underground.

  4. …which makes no sense. An empty field in Vaughan needs to be 23m below ground? Oh the TTC sometimes.

  5. That’s nothing compared to DC’s escalators. Jason, it’s due to the grades in the area up there.
